Stellar (XLM) is a payments network founded in 2014 by Jed McCaleb and Joyce Kim and supported by the non-profit Stellar Development Foundation. XLM (lumens) is its native asset.

Stellar addresses start with G. Most exchanges require a Memo when you deposit — without it the funds may not be credited. Each account must hold a minimum balance of XLM.
Solana (SOL)
Solana (SOL) is a high-performance blockchain founded by Anatoly Yakovenko; its main network started in 2020. It is known for fast confirmations and very low fees.
