TRON: if the recipient address has never held USDT, the transfer burns about twice as much energy — ≈ 13 TRX ($4.5).

Solana: if the recipient has no USDT token account yet, the sender also pays about 0.00204 SOL ($0.21) to open it.

Arbitrum and Optimism: the fee includes the charge for posting the transaction data to Ethereum.

TON: an estimate — the amount depends on the wallet; the unused part of the attached TON is usually returned.

Who pays the network fee

The fee is always paid by the sender, and in the network's own coin (SOL, POL, BNB, ETH, TON and TRX), not in USDT. When you send USDT to Crystal-Trade, the fee is taken from your wallet, so keep a little of the network coin there. When you receive USDT from Crystal-Trade, the exchanger sends the transfer — check the final amount to receive in the exchange form before creating an order.

How the fee is calculated

Polygon, BEP20, Arbitrum and ERC20: the current gas price of the network multiplied by about 65,000 gas units — the usual cost of a token transfer.

Arbitrum and Optimism are Ethereum rollups: to the gas price we add the fee for publishing the data to Ethereum, requested from the networks' own contracts.

TRON: about 65,000 energy at the current energy price (100 sun) plus about 345 bytes of bandwidth, if the sender has no staked TRX or rented energy.

Solana: the base fee of 5,000 lamports plus a typical priority fee from recent blocks.

TON: an estimate without live data, based on typical USDT transfers.

Sources: public nodes of each network (PublicNode, TronGrid, Solana RPC); dollar values use CoinGecko prices. Updated every 10 minutes; if a network does not respond, the last value is shown, and data older than a day is hidden.

How to pay less

Choose the network with the lower fee when both wallets support it — the fee difference between networks can be a hundredfold.
Keep some of the network coin (SOL, POL, BNB, ETH, TON and TRX) in your wallet: without it USDT cannot be sent at all.
Send larger amounts less often: the network fee is the same for 10 and 10,000 USDT.
Always check the network of the receiving address: a transfer sent to another network may be lost.
In TRON, sending to an address that already holds USDT is cheaper, and staked TRX or rented energy lowers the fee further.

Which network is cheapest for sending USDT right now?

Right now it is Solana: about $0.00051 per transfer. The most expensive is TRON (TRC20): about $2.3. The figures change with network load — the table is updated every 10 minutes.

How much does a TRC20 USDT transfer cost?

Now about 6.8 TRX if the recipient already holds USDT, and about 13 TRX if the address is new. The fee is burned in TRX; staked TRX or rented energy reduce it.

Why is an ERC20 USDT transfer more expensive?

Ethereum charges for computation: a token transfer uses about 65,000 gas. At the current gas price of 0.0448 gwei that is about $0.0073. The price rises when the network is busy.

Why do I need SOL, POL, BNB, ETH, TON and TRX to send USDT?

Networks take fees only in their own coin. USDT is a token inside the network, so the wallet pays the fee from the network coin balance; without it the transfer will not go through.

Does the fee depend on the amount?

No. The network fee depends on the network and its load, not on the amount: sending 10 or 10,000 USDT costs the same.

What if I send USDT to the wrong network?

Addresses of some networks look alike (all EVM networks use 0x… addresses), but the funds only arrive in the network they were sent in. Before sending, check that the network in the exchange form matches your wallet; if a mistake happens, contact support with the transaction hash.
