What to know about Ethereum and Tether
Ethereum (ETH)
Ethereum is a programmable blockchain proposed by Vitalik Buterin and launched in 2015. Its native coin, ETH, pays for computation on the network. Thousands of tokens, stablecoins, decentralized exchanges, lending protocols and NFT collections run on Ethereum.
Sending and receiving ETH
Ethereum addresses start with 0x and are the same format on BNB Smart Chain, Arbitrum, Optimism and Polygon — so always check which network the recipient expects. The fee (gas) is paid in ETH and depends on network load; a transfer is usually confirmed within a few minutes.
Tether (USDT)
Tether (USDT) is the largest stablecoin: a token designed to stay at one US dollar. It was launched in 2014 by Tether Limited, which issues USDT against reserves that consist mostly of cash equivalents and short-term US Treasury bills.
Where to store Tether
USDT can be held in any wallet that supports the chosen network. Check that the wallet shows the official USDT contract, because fake tokens with the same name exist.
Arbitrum One network
Arbitrum One is an Ethereum layer-2 network. Addresses use the Ethereum format, fees are paid in ETH and are much lower than on the Ethereum mainnet.
Polygon network
Polygon PoS is an Ethereum-compatible network with addresses in the same 0x format. Fees are paid in POL and usually cost a fraction of a cent.
How to exchange Ethereum to Tether

- Send exactly the specified amount of ETH Arbitrum on the Arbitrum One network to the details shown in the order.
- Once the transfer is confirmed, Tether is sent to your address. You can track the order on its status page.
What to check before exchanging ETH Arbitrum to USDT Polygon
- The recipient address must be on the Polygon network: funds sent on another network may be lost.
- The amount sent must be at least 2.889 ETH Arbitrum.
- Copy the whole address and check the first and last characters after pasting.
- Funds go through an AML check; high-risk transfers may be held until the check is complete.
