What to know about NEAR Protocol and Tether
NEAR Protocol (NEAR)
NEAR Protocol is a Proof of Stake blockchain founded by Illia Polosukhin and Alexander Skidanov; its main network launched in 2020. It focuses on usability and scalability.
Sending and receiving NEAR
An account can be a readable name ending in .near or a long 64-character hexadecimal ID. Transfers confirm within seconds at a very low cost.
Tether (USDT)
Tether (USDT) is the largest stablecoin: a token designed to stay at one US dollar. It was launched in 2014 by Tether Limited, which issues USDT against reserves that consist mostly of cash equivalents and short-term US Treasury bills.
Risks and things to know
A stablecoin depends on its issuer: Tether can freeze tokens on specific addresses at the request of authorities, and the peg relies on the reserves. Sending USDT to an address on a different network is one of the most common and costly mistakes.
Polygon network
Polygon PoS is an Ethereum-compatible network with addresses in the same 0x format. Fees are paid in POL and usually cost a fraction of a cent.
How to exchange NEAR Protocol to Tether

- Enter your USDT wallet address on the Polygon network and your contact details.
- Send exactly the specified amount of NEAR on the NEAR network to the details shown in the order.
- Once the transfer is confirmed, Tether is sent to your address. You can track the order on its status page.
What to check before exchanging NEAR to USDT Polygon
- The recipient address must be on the Polygon network: funds sent on another network may be lost.
- The amount sent must be at least 5,100 NEAR.
- Copy the whole address and check the first and last characters after pasting.
- Funds go through an AML check; high-risk transfers may be held until the check is complete.
