Monero (XMR)
Monero (XMR) is a privacy-focused cryptocurrency launched in April 2014 as a fork of Bytecoin, built on the CryptoNote protocol. It is developed by an open community without a company or pre-mine behind it.
Sending and receiving XMR
Main Monero addresses start with 4, subaddresses with 8; they are much longer than Bitcoin addresses. Received funds become spendable after 10 confirmations (about 20 minutes). Fees are low and do not depend on the amount.
How to exchange Monero to EUR
