Bitcoin (BTC) price forecast: scenarios up to 2031

This is not a promise of a price. It is a range built from the volatility Bitcoin has actually shown over the last 365 days, plus the facts that move this coin.

Bitcoin price scenarios for 2027–2031

The wider the band, the less certain the year: at moderate volatility of 44.26% a year the spread grows with the square root of time. Roughly two years out of three the price stays inside the band; the other one it does not.

The band is the price today multiplied by e to the power of plus or minus the volatility times the square root of the years. The centre equals today's price: the model does not predict direction. The last column is your own assumption, it is calculated in the browser.

The numbers in this block follow your own assumption, not a forecast: the orange line on the chart is your rate, the shaded area is the range from the coin's volatility.

How this forecast is built

We take the daily BTC price for the last 365 days, measure how much it swings from day to day and convert that into annual volatility — 44.26% for Bitcoin. That number sets how wide the band is.

The centre of the band is today's price, and that is deliberate. A future trend cannot be derived from past quotes: if it could, everyone would already have bought. Sites that show one exact number for 2030 are usually multiplying today's price by a fixed percentage — the same one for every coin.

What actually moves the BTC price

  • The price is 38.48% below the all-time high of $126,080; getting back there takes a 62.55% rise.
  • 20.08 M BTC of the maximum 21 M have been issued — 95.64%. The closer to the cap, the less new supply reaches the market.
  • The next halving is expected around May 8, 2028: the block reward drops from 3.125 to 1.5625 BTC, halving the issue of new coins.
  • Market capitalisation is 1.56 T, rank 1: the bigger it is, the more money a comparable move needs.

What can go wrong

The band is not a guarantee. A single event — an exchange failure, a regulatory decision, a large holder selling — can take the price outside it in a day. Volatility itself changes too: it was 44.26% over the last 365 days and can be twice that. This page is information, not investment advice.

Bitcoin price forecast: FAQ

What is the Bitcoin forecast for 2027?
At the current volatility the band for 2027 is $49,823 to $120,754, with the centre at today's price of $77,565. This is a range of ordinary moves, not a promise.
How much will Bitcoin cost in 2031?
Nobody knows. The model gives a band of $28,828 to $208,698 — and five years out that band is so wide precisely because an honest answer has to be that wide.
What is this forecast based on?
On the daily BTC price for the last 365 days: the volatility measured from it is 44.26% a year, and it sets the width of the band. There is no expert opinion or trend guessing here.
Will BTC grow?
The model does not answer that, and neither does anyone else honestly. What can be said: over 30 days the price moved +22.29%, over 90 days −33.12%, and it has been between $58,566 – $124,740 in that time.
Where can I exchange BTC?
At Crystal-Trade, in any of the directions below: the rate is fixed when the order is created, so it does not move while the transfer is in the network.
