What is Tezos
Tezos (XTZ) is a smart contract blockchain created by Arthur and Kathleen Breitman; its main network launched in 2018. Its key idea is on-chain governance.

Tezos can upgrade itself: holders vote on protocol amendments, which are activated without a hard fork. It uses Liquid Proof of Stake, where holders delegate to "bakers" without locking their coins.
